I am an American fighting man. The fact that I am no longer in the direct service of the Department of Defense does not change that.

I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and bear true faith and allegiance to the same. I take this obligation freely, without purpose of evasion, and swear to obey all orders of the President of the United States and those officers appointed over me, according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, SO HELP ME GOD.

The enemies of our country and our way of life shall not succeed. I swear this upon my own grave.

Found this as part of an unrelated article today:

But let me just remind you of Admiral Yamamoto's words after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. He said, "I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Many years after the original Pearl Harbor, a survivor of the attack brought his son to the wreckage of the Arizona. The little boy said, "I don't understand it, Daddy. Why did the Japanese attack us like that?" The man set his jaw squarely and said, "I don't know, son. But it was a big mistake."

Warriors Way
Warriors know that for a people, society and nation to remain free, they must often fight for it at times. When negotiations fail or break down, they know that drastic measures are sometimes necessary. Warriors don't pray for a fight, but are strong enough to stand up and defend what is right. A valiant cause is the Warrior's motivation though it might cost them their lives. Thank God for those with courage. God Bless America.
