My brother just called me, police are all over our neighborhood as two men dressed in black were spotted breaking into a house and are assumed as armed.

No further information, but this area is CRAWLING with cops. Police cars are flying up the roads ever minute and there's at least one car one each street in the area.

This isn't a joke and I've locked the doors and have two rifles on standby. Gonna have to keep an eye on local news, so I'll keep my eyes on the site for world news.

Again, my bro (Edward) just called to let me know and he's indoors ready to defend his neighbors.

Keep in mind wierd shit could be going down all over, so just watch yer homes and families and when they try to step in your home, put a few fucking holes in them. I have a higher respect for the local police for showing up in force this quickly.

Half the police have moved on, they believe it's either two kids who took advantage of the day's distractions or more likely looters.

There's 1 cop car per street now and the rest have moved on... the information is not on the news and not expected to be put there...

You never expect this kind of crap in the quiet suburbs we live in. Surprised police aren't going house to house to notify people. Guess that could create more problems...

Looks like things are quieting down here... most of the problems I would imagine would be with houses with woods behind them.

They're closing everything down around here. My wife, & daughter both work in the loop (Chicago Board of Trade/Chicago Mercantile exchange), both are home now. The IC (at least the "South Shore" section) closed down for the day after the 10:15AM train.



My wife just said she saw several people in Chicago stopped (randomly?), searched, & immediately arrested earlier - no questions, no nonsense.
She always goes heavy, but decided to lock it in the office safe before she left today (tough call). It seems like LEAs everywhere are a little "freaked out" today. Here in NW Indiana they've got the national guard surrounding the refineries, & the only NP plant I know of.

I passed seven police cars on the 20 mile trip home this evening - about seven times normal.

Caught someone with a telescopic lens taking pictures of our MP's front gate security so I did an illegal turn back into the base and tipped off the M-16 and shotgun wearing sentries who ran the guy down. Probably a local journalist without sense but why risk it? I'll get a de-brief tomorrow from our security head.
