I don't care about the NFL anymore.
Remember the USFL: A handful of players making good money, and everyone else making league minimum. They loose the lawsuit (which was the correct decision), and the USFL folds. Then, the NFL goes with salary caps: What happens,,,, A handful of players make good money, and the rest make league minimum. Translation: The NFL is nothing more than the USFL in NFL colors. Does anyone care that the officials are not the regular officials? From what I have seen, the substitutes have done just as good a job. The regulars want to be full time, even though they work one day a week and have other jobs. Baseball (162 games), hockey and basketball (80+games each) must have full time officials because their officials could not hold other jobs during the season with all the games. The football refs can work a regular job during the week and do their football thing on weekends.
