My handguns are always loaded, but are stored  in one of my safes. I don't particularly like trigger locks.
None of my long guns are loaded, although the mags are in the safe loaded.

I think the new 'lockboxes' have some merit. Some are designed so you can open them in the dark, a door flies open and you have access to your handgun.

Good for them, trigger locks don't work.

1.  You can still load the gun.

2.  You can fire the gun with a popsicle stick

3.  why lock up your protection?
