A much-anticipated all-star tribute to John Lennon has finally set a date: September 20 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. LAUNCH has learned that, among others, Stone Temple Pilots will be a
part of the evening's festivities.
Lennon's widow Yoko Ono and cable network TNT will present Come Together: A Night For John Lennon, which will be taped for broadcast at a later date on TNT, similarly to March 2001's all-star
Brian Wilson tribute concert at Radio City, which aired on TNT in July. Spokespeople for the event could not confirm any of the artists who will participate, and a full list is expected next week.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Violence Policy Center www.VPC.org whose mission is to end gun violence by educating the public, the news media, and policymakers about the public-health costs
of injuries and deaths from firearms.
