I have recently bought a Kimber SS Target .45. I bought the Bladetech holster for my IDPA matches. Just wondered what you guys used and why.

I'm waiting on a Waldon Holster Co. (www.waldonholsters.com) horsehide Sidewinder IWB for my Springfield Mil-Spec.

If it's as good as the one I have for my Glock 19/23, I think I'll be toting the 1911 more often.

I also have some Gould & Goodrich and Galco leather, but they don't suit my needs.  Don't really care to wear a parka all the time.

Galco SS2 shoulder holster with 2 spare mag holders. very comfortable. also have Galco royal guard iside the waistband. can wear on left or rightside. either of these will fit any size  1911 model from my Kimber ulta carry to my Gold cups. I like the ss2 galco because of the wide shoulder straps. narrow straps like on the galco miami classic dig into you after awhile.

Go to the Single Stack Classic.  Go to the IDPA Nationals.  One holster is over represented:  Ky-Tac.

You'll need the patience of a saint waiting for one, but they are the fastest.

I have a Milt Sparks Versa Max II for concealed carry of my Kimber Pro Carry. www.miltsparks.comIt's the flattest-carrying holsters I've found. I've got 6 or 7 holsters for the Pro Carry in my holster drawer, and the VMII is the one I almost always use. The Comp-Tac locking paddle is what I use for IDPA-type events. www.comp-tac.com Good luck whichever way you go. It will likely take some experimentation to figure out what works best with what you do and how you dress.
