Read more in the News Forum, but needless to say this was weeks, well maybe months, in the making.

Been tracking trends on the site, analyzing the data, and coming up with the upgrades. Everything, site-wide, should be faster by a decent amount.

At this point we have to tighten a few minor things here and there, and may have a professional company take a look at further enhancements. (Cost is mucho green, but they guarentee a LARGE improvement or it's free!) This is off the radar right now, but when things are solid and happy, we may have them run an analysis on the site.

Also expect a series of updates tomorrow or Saturday. (Depending on when I am around and things are good to go.)

Hopefully this will help even more than the last upgrade.

(PS - Last nights small outages were due to patches for new worms attacking everybody and their mother!!! Gotta keep us clean and virus free!)

Have you completed the importation of all the stuff from the old site?  When will the archives be fully open to the past postings?

Feels faster, thought it was just me.

This was just engine work thats been dragging along for a while... still more to import in, fixes to a few things that will go in this weekend, flushing out and building the EE and then an overhaul to get new sites online...

Shit, I'm just glad this thing is FINALLY done... been a pain in my arse for weeks!!!

Ahhh that might have been the plunger that went missing from the really clean bathroom in the basement! *grin*
The speed difference is very noticable BTW.
