Neighbors - AR15.COM

My neighbor came over and told me that another neighbor had his central air unit stolen, while they were home and while it was runnin.Said he thought it was the "people" that live in a trailer across the street from him. They appear to have something goin on, cars all hours from everywhere. I reckon its a dope dealer. I been on alert since. Can't shoot someone in IN for property theft, but if there that brave, who knows what they're liable to do. Any thoughts as to what I ought to do?

I recomend you tell your local cops exactly what you told us. Make them aware of the problem. Testify if you get the chancee.....

I wouldn't flash firearms. I would lock my firearms up when I was not home. Never let people like that know you have weapons...unless there in your home. I would escort them to the police at gun point, if necessary.

Get a cattle fence electrical charging unit and rig it to the air conditioner's frame. Just make sure you check the thing each morning for visitors still stuck to the high voltage - they'll start to smell if left to rot in the sun.

A big dog works too.

Anytime you can, anytime they do something, file a report with your local PD or SO. You don't have to have an officer come over, go down to the office and do it. Loud music, barking dogs, anything....

The reason is, if something bad happens in the future, they have it on record that there have been problems there before, and have something to go on.

Ditto what GarandMan says. Establish yourself early as the good guy or the cops and DA will assume you're just feuding rednecks.A paper trail is a strong defense. "See yer Honor, I tried to work it out with the deceased Mr. Fuckwad, but he just kept at it."
