Ok it's my turn now to ask for pc help, I've got a big video I just downloaded, 1300mb. Usually they are split into two <700mb files so you can make two VCDs. but this one is single where can I get something to split it? I'd really like to be able to burn this and watch it on my tv from the couch instead of watching a 2 and a half hour movie on this little computer monitor.

Also I really would like something that can capture streaming video like the 300k winmedia streams from launch.com to a file like asf, mpg, avi it doesn't matter what kind of file as long as it's saved, realmedia and quicktime would be nice too. I've tried asfrecorder and it only does tcp connections and most of those guys are using udp now.  anyone know of an app to do either of these??

oh and this is on a win2k system
