Never seen them, how are they? Black rather than the purple-black I've seen on other cheap kits, I hope...

I've got an M&A upper and 16" bbl on a Bushmaster lower and the finish matches great. It is black no purple involved. The only problem I had was the barrel came loose after about 1000 rnds. It fired fine but would twist and would not hold zero. A CATM guy at my base repaired it and I have never had any other problems.

Had both a Model 1 and J&T and both were coal black.

The parts I have gotten from M&A have had great finishes on them. Plus I was happy with the service I received. Never tried Model 1. Good luck with whatever one you decide.
