The funniest Saturday Night Live skit is on right beside me now. The "Matt Foley Inspirational Speaker" one. F*cking hilarious.
Plus, any Jeopardy one is golden too. Lots of other gems |
Any Coneheads.
Akroyd as Julia Child...blood everywhere. Belushi as 'The Thing That Wouldn't Leave' Any Church Lady Murray as the lounge singer hanko |
The funniest was definitely the "Bel-Arabs" -
"...and then one day he was shootin' at some Jews, and up through the ground came a bubblin' crude" The best "Beverly Hillbillies" parody I ever saw. Except for Weird Al, that is. [:P] |
The All Drug Olympics was hilarious. Also, the Velvet Jones Academy - "You too can be a ho"...
I am definately with M15A2 on this one. I love all of the Jeopardy skits. Sean Connery going at it with Alex Trabek is Hillarious.
Gotta love the Jeopardy skits...
"I'll take Anal Bum Cover for $200 Alex. (An Album Cover)" But basicly anything with Will Ferrel is great... that guy is the best. He needs to ditch theses no talent shits and start making his own movies. |
Alec Baldwin on NPR as a baker that specializes in balls. (Garlic, Matzo...) And the name of the bakery is Schwetys'. Get it? I love Schwety balls. Almost died from laughter. [>Q]
I love mike myers' skits as Deeter!!!!! NOW IS TIME ON SPROKETS WHEN WE DANCE!!
Last year, the loud obnoxious Dad at his sons baseball game. Also the Pornstars working in the fast food restraunt.
there was one years ago when the brady bill was in the house or had just passed. one of the guys on there went to the gun shop to get a pistol to protect his family from the cat burglars that were hitting neighborhood. they told him he'd have to wait five days and he said but i need a gun now. they said sorry you cant get one but here's a mace (like the middle ages, ball with spikes on a chain). the skit skipped to the next night in his house as the burglar broke in and had a gun. the burglar shot his son, chris farley, and of course he crashed through the living room table. then the dad comes down the stairs with his mace and gets shot himself. can you beleive a "pro-gun" skit on SNL?
I personally like the one with Christopher Walken and Will Ferrel imitating a recording the band Blue Oyster Cult aka the "cowbell" skit. Love it everytime I watch it.
Anything with Will Farrell is great! The Jeopardy, and especially the Blue Oyster Cult "cowbell" skits were fucking hilarious.
But naming your favorite SNL skit is kind of like naming your favorite song, or Simpsons episode. Too many great ones to choose from. Slightly off topic, did anyone see the episode of Conan O'Brien where Will Farrell is dressed up as a leprechaun with those green spandex speedos? Damn, that was funny stuff. |
I think the Adam Sandler and Chris Farley in the gay beer commercial. TV funhouse,{Ex presidents and ambiguously gay duo}
GG |
Sometimes...when I get nervous...I put my hands under my armpits like this..and **SNIFFFFF****
Young mary catherine gallagher...... |
The "Ambiuously Gay Duo" cartoon series. "What's everybody staring at...did we say something funny?"
I seem to remember Adam Sandler singing
his turkey song at Thanksgiving " I like turkey " or something like that . One of the lines was " and Sammy Davis Jr only had one eye " Fucking funny as hell Also Eddie Murphy reading poetry about his landlord " Landlord say he raise the rent Kill my landlord Kill my Landlord " Chevy Chase doing Pres Ford and falling over anything , 3 wild and Crazy Guys with Steve Martin and almost all news casts especially Chevy and David Spade . Too many to list . Of course we have to give " Mr Bill " honorable mention . Sean Connery VS Alec Trebek IS great too . |
Steve Martin playing a hillbilly when a space craft lands "now ya'll kids git away from that, Hey, you kids git yer mouth off that"
KenS |
The parody of the McLaughlin group, except Phil Hartman as Frank Sinatra in "The Sinatra Group". With panelists Billy Idol, Sinead O'Connor, etc. I loved the Frank Sinatra impressions, where he's seducing Nancy Reagan and ordering "chink food"...lol.
Dany Carvey as Scarface was fricking awesome, too. My favorite news guy was Norm MacDonald. |
Massive Headwound Harry- At least the dog part of it.
When Sine-aid tore up the picture of the pope and nobody applauded. Dead silence. So akward you could cut it with a knife. God that was great. Wish they would show it again instead of her rehearsal on the repeats. Will Farrell is the best. |
Dana Carvey as the grumpy old man on Weekend Update. I think the character was only ona couple of times in the late 80's.
Plus Toonces the driving cat... |
Either the Kirstie Alley in Italy one or the Justice League Of America.
Murphy in White Like Me. It was laugh til you cry funny, and it really showcased his ability to be made up.
I have several favorites, but these 2 come to mind.
1. Dan Akyroyd as the Dangerous Toy Salesman. "Bag of glass, bag of nails, bag of sulphuric acid... we're just packaging what the kids want". Also "Johnny Invisible Pedestrian" as a Halloween costume still gets me LMAO. 2. There was a skit of a party taking place in Victorian England where Garrett Morris is introducing various inventors to the party. "Lord and Lady Sandwich", "Lord and Lady Argyle" (inventor of the sandwich and sock). Then... he introduces "Lord and Lady Douchebag". Funniest skit ever! |
-I like on of the forgotten ones...the Bill Murray and Steve Martin standing there saying, "What the hell is that?!"
-Also, I may catch some heat from this, but when they reported on a shooting at the NRA convention. There was a home video footage "at the scene", and all the NRA members were giving the shooter suggestions to aim better (Hey, KEEP YOUR LEFT HAND DOWN, etc, etc,). |
Adam Sandler in "Prank Phone Calls"
& Dan Akyroyd in "Dangerous Toy Salesman". There are so many good ones.... Tyler |
Some of my favorits are with Will Farrell, the big burly Janet Reno (that looked like janet reno) and how about the Harry Carry skits.
"Its a simple question, if you were a hot dog would you eat youself?" |
Janet Reno's "Dance Party" was a classic.
Also, the very very old "Prison Talent Show" auditions where Garrett Morris playing a black convict starts singing a song.. "I'm gonna...Get me a shotgun and kill all the Whiteys I see! Get me a shotgun and kill all the Whiteys I see! When I kill all the Whiteys I see, that Whitey He won't bother me! I'm gonna...Get me a shotgun and kill all the Whiteys I see... Just kills me everytime I see it. D. |
Anything from the Point-Counterpoint skits with Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain.
"Jane, you ignorant slut!" funny shit Did anyone see the cartoon skit about Clinton trying to do his " I did not have sexual relations" speech? Ken Starr kept popping up in the background holding a blue dress with a yellow stain on it... I was in tears that was so hilarious. |
Gilda Radner doing her Janis Joplin impersonation.
For continuing charachters, Mike Myer's "Dieter" "Touch my monkey!" |
How about the Swedish WWII flying ace(Dan Akyroid I think) being interviewed about his victories. He tells about shooting down one Folker after another. The reporter cuts in and tells the audience that a Folker is a German fighter, and the Swede replies,"These Folkers were flying Messerschmidts!" The best one they ever got by the cencors.
Mango
"if i gave u some mango then soon you would want more and more and there would be no Mango left for Mango" i love the one where they went to Mangos house and hes got a wife and some kids "WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK IM GAY!!!" |
Cheeseburger...cheeseburger...pepsi,
no fries... CHIPS! Waterdog |
Quoted: Alec Baldwin on NPR as a baker that specializes in balls. (Garlic, Matzo...) And the name of the bakery is Schwetys'. Get it? I love Schwety balls. Almost died from laughter. [>Q] View Quote LMAO!!! I just about cried during that skit! |
Tried to watch SNL last weekend. Didn't know whether to cry or fall asleep. Sorry if I sound like a crotchety old fart, but Ackroyd, Radner, Curtin, Belushi, Morris, Chase, Murray and Newman WERE the Not Ready for Prime Time Players.
Anyone who came after them were pale imitations, some better and some worse. Having said that, I did like one Jeopardy skit with Alex and Sean Connery going at it: Connery: "I'll take Needin Morehead for $100" Trebek: "Who's Needin Morehead?" Connery: "You are, obviously." |
Does anyone remeber the Crystal Pepsi parody? Crystal Gravy! That was hilarious.
Nick Burns is also really funny... I watch SNL everyday on Comedy Central.. Good stuff! Ian |
The Transphibians in a pet shop. No way I can describe the skit and do it justice!
The time John Belushi was doing a Joe Cocker impression and Joe Cocker himself walked on stage.
The NPR skit when they ate the mushrooms and were tripping.
Also, the one with that car accident with the clowns and the prisoners was hilarious too. |

Happy Fun Ball!
Every commercial for a prescription drug reminds me of HFB as soon as they launch into the disclaimers. |
I liked the bit were Eddie Murphy was discussing new dolls for the christmas season on the news. Talking about how G.I.Joe is mad now cause they shrunk him down to 4 1/2 inches. The Brooke Shields and Mister T doll. Eddie doing Mr. T, "Come here woman, let me stick my tongue down your mouth"
