These 9mm sub guns have shown up at canadian gun shows lately, they are semi and have that wonderfull 5rd mag, they arent cheap either, 2000$+, so I was wondering, they worth the money?

Excellent weapon, doesn´t malfunction. Based on the SIG rifles which were licence built in Chile. Firing rate on auto is about 1300rpm.

I have a FAMAE that is most likely WWII era.  It has a very low 4 digit serial number that begins with the letter "A3**".

Mine is Class-III, and is my favorite 9mm subgun.  I actually like it much better than any of our MP5's, due the the accuracy.

It's styled very similar to a Sterling, with a 50-rnd curved mag that sticks out of the left side of the receiver and has a retractable wire stock.  The cyclic rate is roughly 600rpm, and is deadly accurate at 100yds.

If these new models are anywhere near the quality of the war era stuff, then I need to start looking for one!
