Watch as Bill Maher gets his ass handed to him both politically and correctly.  What this guy shrouds in hypocrisy and utter ignorance (typical leftist), he shows off as practical and incisive - he gives Libertarians a bad name.  Mr. Know-it-all better do his homework fast, or else he'll be walking into a battle of wits with nothing but his usual Spork.

I watched Maher on a stand up routine one time.

Working hard to get past the stream of profanity, I acutally found a couple points that he made that were dead on right.

But then he has to go and open his mouth about gun control.

And then he can't help himself and he lets all his stupidity flow out.

I guess even a blind pig finds an occasional truffle.

P.S. - Bill Maher is an intellegent guy, and witty - don't get me wrong.  But sometimes I think he just doesn't think before he speaks, and totally catches himself in an oxymoron that he will utterly ignore.  It's not only moronic, but it's annoying as hell - I'll try and find a few examples if I happen to catch his show sometime.

Maher's show is mistitled badly.  Instead of 'Politically Incorrect', it should be 'The Most Politically Correct Show on TV'.  He claims to be a Libertarian, but that is hogwash.  He is a dyed in the wool, left wing, socialist Democrap.  I probably won't watch because he just gets my BP up because I am not there and can't tell him how wrong he is in person.  Besides, COPS is on Court TV at the same time and I love watching idiots talk themselves into jail.

Bill had more sense last night than O'reily did.

Drug legalization...  O'reily wants to legislate intoxication.....what was up with that.

I missed the show, so I may be in the dark here, but isn't intoxication already legislated via drunk driving/boating, etc. laws?  I hope the drug thing wasn't all they talked about. I'd have been really disappointed.

You gotta love Mahar.  Totally left-wing radical, except he's for the legalization of drugs, so in his mind, he's a Libertarian.  I think that makes him my exact opposite.  I agree with most Libertarian thought, but I could never support legalizing drugs.  Maybe that's why I don't watch his show.  His stand-up a few years ago was pretty funny though.

I gotta agree. Bill Maher, who claims to be Libertarian despite a very anti gun stance came off very well on the topics covered and O'Riley came off like a socialist.

O'Riley looked BAD. I only wish the topic of firearms had come up.

[red] EEEEEvil One! We will miss you when you return to your less than EEEEEvil ways! [/red]

Bill Maher is a Libertarian? My ARSE!! I love O'Rielly, but I don't always agree with him...at least he can stand behind his arguments. Maher is your typical leftist numbnutted over-made up hollywood type...very cute, very clever, very WRONG on most issues.

I HATED the fact that this was the ONLY damn thing they talked about!  Right when Maher mentioned drug legalization (which I'm all for), I was thinking to myself "Oh Lord, O'Reilly is going to lose this one - he's an old fogie who thinks alcohol is evil."  I was exactly right.  Besides, the way they otherwise talked to each other was buddy-buddy, which completely blew my expectations of a catfight out of the water.  So in conclusion, O'Reilly lost that one two ways:

1.) He only discussed the one subject that he deep-down has a wrong solution to.
2.) His interviews are always too damned short, as always, and thus he didn't get into other dominant topics such as taxation, gun control, environment vs. energy, or immigration.

Damnit Bill, ya just HAD to stick your nose in the Drug War debate, didn't ya?

according to O'Reilly (who I usually agree with) DWI laws are reactive and we need proactive laws. What he plans along those lines I have no idea
