Seems as though they are a little late. The .300 WSM came out and everyone is hyped up about it, now they have to compete. They should just stick with the RUM and corner that end of the market and let Winchester take the "short, fat and sassy" end of the market.

Make mine a .300 RSAUM in titanium please.

Only problem I see is that long crazy name.

Armalite is preparing to offer .300 Remington as a new chambering for the AR10.  The Remington brass design is said to be better than the WSM.  It will be a winner.  LE orders will get first preference prior to civilian deliveries.

1GUNRUNNER,  I met an Armalite VP at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM a couple weeks ago.  We talked about various topics and one was high-power chamberings for the AR10.  Told him I heard AL was looking at the .300WSM, but he said Armalite's tests showed the .300 SA Remington performed better.  He said it has to do with the brass design.  He also indicated the release is not far away.  Told him I wanted the first one.

The VP was really a nice guy.  Professional and helpful.  He was shooting a bone-stock AR50 and doing pretty good.
