His case surely has had an impact upon those who would defend themselves, then wait around to be charged for doing so! LESSON TO ALL!

http://msnbc.com/news/598311.asp?0dm=N22DN&cp1=1 Here is the link to the story. With a name like Jamaica Labor Party, it sounds like an attempted socialist revolution. Here is their pledge: JAMAICA LABOUR PARTY PLEDGE: I AM A LABOURITE I believe in the Jamaica Labor Party which was founded by Sir Alexander Bustamante to bring social, cultural and economic development to benefit all Jamaicans. I support my Party’s aims and objectives: To foster the principles of true democracy. To provide equal opportunities for all the people of Jamaica To develop the economic resources of Jamaica and to encourage Individual ownership and initiative, subject to Government regulation, where Necessary, for the common good. To promote and protect the economic and social well-being of all, and to foster cooperation among the people regardless of colour, race or creed. To instill in the hearts of the people reverence for God, and respect for lawful constituted authority. * To ensure and protect the constitutional fundamental human rights of each individual. I pledge my support, my talents, my energies to work earnestly and creatively to help my Party to achieve these objective.

Key phrase being of course "subject to Government regulation, where Necessary, for the common good." Which is actually a key phrase for Socialism I suppose.

Elvis Kin Dies in Shootout Sheriff Cousin of 'The King' Killed Saving Deputy By Jason Straziuso The Associated Press T U P E L O, Miss., July 6 — A sheriff who was a cousin of Elvis Presley was killed in a shootout early today that also left a suspect dead. The gun battle began after a man fled from a police roadblock and pushed a woman, nude and bound with tape, from his car, authorities said. The man wrecked his car, and was later cornered in a shed at a home. Lee County Sheriff Harold Ray Presley, 52, shoved a deputy out of the way and was apparently shot several times but returned fire, killing Billy Ray Stone, 53, authorities said. The sheriff "almost certainly saved the deputy from injury or death," said Highway Patrol spokesman Warren Strain. ‘The King’ Covered His Wall Harold Presley's father was the brother of Elvis Presley's grandfather, making them first cousins once removed. The late King of Rock 'n' Roll was born in Tupelo in 1935. When he became sheriff in 1993, Harold Presley received calls from Elvis fans who wanted to buy his campaign signs. A wall of Presley's office was covered with Elvis Presley pictures and posters. The woman pushed from the car was in satisfactory condition with a cut on her arm and a broken ankle. Police said she had been abducted the night before.
