Will it fire rifled slugs and will it work as a skeet gun?

oh and one more thing will it cycle fast enough for 2 skeet clays?

I have one and love it.  It should shoot rifled slugs and for clays it depends on distance as you are shooting an 18" cylinder bore so your patterns aren't going to be to tight.  Love informal clay shooting with mine though.  For a pump it actually has a very slick action.

The gun you speak of has an aluminum receiver you can do better.
Have a nice evening,    Rabon...

I have a full choke single shot as a trap gun.  Is a cylinder bore good for skeet shooting? I thought a skeet choke was bigger then a cylinder bore.

Save your hard earned money and get an 870, hell they're only a bit over $200 brand new.

I have used my defender to shoot informal clays and hunt dove, it is a very fast slick action. I just bought a Winchester 1300 20 ga for dove and phesent this year because the action is so much like the 12 Ga defender. I mean I do look kind of silly with a 7 shot mag blocked to two for dove hunting.

Rabon- Your AR15 has an aluminum receiver.  I guess you can do better on that and get an AK.

That HAS to be the most underrated shotgun around!
1300s are absolutely fantastic shotguns, they even try to help you by pretending to be autos for the first inch or two (Guess that only makes sense if you've shot them before), it's kinda hard to explain.
Everybody's gone "ga-ga" over 870s because 870s really are fantastic guns!

It's a shame that the 1300s, & other good reliable, solid shotguns get so eclipsed by 870s though.

If it feels right, fits right, etc., don't even hesitate buying a Winchester, you won't regret it.

Wait a minute, a Defender for skeet... You're kidding, right?  [8D]

1300 is a good shotgun. Very fast action. I prefer the 870 as well, but have a 1300. It's an older one & is slick. I painted it as the finish was worn out. I'll sell it if you want it. $125 + ship.

Hi, I am a new member, lurker for a few years.  I didn't join for two years until I found the encrypted email site. Any MENSA members? I live in a people's republic city.  I can register a shotgun and mini-14, but have to keep my pistols and black rifles off-site. P.S. Buy a 1300 Camp Defender it works for CQ and trap/skeet. Practice with snap caps, you will find your reaction time decrease.

I quit MENSA after constantly getting bombarded with their leftist literature.   It USED to be a fine organization.

Ratters, I asked for that, no offense meant. I generally carry 3inch 1 3/8 ounce Brenneke slugs in my 12 guage pressures are quite high and it kicks like a mule, I prefer steel
Have a nice day,   Rabon...

Another thumbs up for the 1300 Defender .
Mine is great . That action is very slick indeed . The manual even says" the pump that
thinks it's an auto " Or something close to that .

Paid $210 FOR MINE tax and all .
Good to know they are good trap guns . I was wondering .

No prob Rabon,

Damn, your shoulder must hurt after shooting those things.  I shot about fifty rounds of lowbase and my shoulder was bruised for four days.  I'll stay away from the high base stuff thank you very much.  [:)]
