I have seen many posts with opinions of the SA M1A Scope Mount and I must ask why it is consisted by some as a POS?  I have a 2nd generation with the two screws and I have not had any problems with it.  It may not be an ARMs detachable system but it seems to hold the zero ok.  No better and no worse than any other hard mount, non-removable system.  So what is wrong with it?

I don't like them but I wouldn't call them a POS. I don't care for them because---
1. they're ugly
2. they're too big
3. they're too high
4. they're made out of aluminum

If I was using the rifle in matches and installing scope for playtime I might use one. I think they are a good design if you want to switch back and forth. I use TSA and ARMS.

I see alot of those posts too. I have a 3rd generation & it works great. I have taken it off several times & not lost zero.
Maybe it's a "higher dollar, mine is better" kinda thing. [?][?][?]
