Is it just me, or are magazine prices dropping to pretty affordable levels?  WTF?

not that I'm complaining or anything

I have noticed that too.  I plan to take as much of an advantage as my funds will allow.

I mean, I just bought a lot of 20 rounders for 16 bucks a piece.  New condition.  I thought it was a damn steal, but when you look around, you see a lot of similar deals.  Anyway, I'm not complaining, again.

Thanx Kalifornia!!

I think in general sales of AR's are down also the rush of people who ran out and bought them in the last few years have thier mag inventories at a good level, so there for sales of mags are down cuasing prices to go down as well.

Last AR mags I bought at a gun show in Portland OR were green follower, DSL Sanchez Enterprises, and went for $9.50 ea. When I bought my Bushmaster new, the dealer tossed in two 30 rd. mags free.

They're thick as fleas here. Not hard to find, nor expensive.

If you are in the Chicago area, look at Village Sports in Arligton Heights. He's got some Orlites for $10.  Also some USA Thermolds for $20.
Also check out Magman from this board, he is illinois too.
Other than that, look around/mail order.

Someone tell me where these lower prices are to be found. I need a bunch of USGI 20's. I would also like some 5's for hunting.[smoke]

i'm certainly not complaining with the lowering of prices and availability of high quality mags... i'm just taking my time, and purchasing steadily, those that i do want to have... and so far, i've been thrilled!

lots of great honorable guys on this board selling items... i've had NO bad experiences thus far.

I've noticed a recent price decrease also. It has me wondering whether there is an increased supply or a declining demand. I just bought 4 ak-47 mags (used - 99% finish) from Aim surplus for $5 ea. I've also picked up AR15 mags (30 rounders) for $15 each at the last two gun shows here (Colts were $20). Also Northridge was selling 8 AK74 (30 round bakelite) mags for $30 which included two mag pouches (that's less than $4 per mag). These are the golden days - he who hesitates is lost.

Newbies, try not to buy retail at local gunstores. Buy yourself a Shotgun News subscription and see what prices should be.
