CavVet, the same thing happens to me too, when I submit URLs in my posts to http://www.ar15.com. Mine don't come out as clickable either. I still use Windows 95 and Outlook Express- maybe that's the problem?

You have to lose the http:// to make your urls clickable.

I am just anal retentive sometimes.....ok ALL the time....

I remember (one of the few things I remember) posting/emailing him, telling him about  [ url ] before it, and [ /url ] after it....

One of my MORE bitchy moments in time...

Smith & Wesson Refuses To End "Sell Out" Deal
Well, we all know that Tomkins PLC has sold Smith & Wesson to an American company, which makes safety locks. Gun owners & gun rights groups have recently been inquiring what the new owners are going to do with the Clinton "sell out" agreement. The answer from the company has been, "many of the provisions of the agreement have been weakend or will not be implemented, however many of the provisions will still be carried out." This is not what gun owners were hoping for when ownership of the company changed hands. The company also pushed for manditory gun lock usage in NJ.
It appears Smith & Wesson will continue to develop & lobby for "smart gun" technology, which does not exist & is far from being proven safe for gun owners. They will still dedicate a percentage of income to the development of such technology. Restrictions to sales to certain dealers & gun shows & redesigning their pistols not to accept pre-ban magazines are still on. Other provisions are believed to also be on the table.
It is sad that the boycott on this company, must continue! This firm must be destroyed as an example to the rest of the industry. The free market will strengthen pro-gun gunmakers, while punishing the likes of S&W. As new gun companies enter the business, may they receive the sales that gun owners are withholding from S&W.
