Has anyone ever seen one of these?

It is for auction here: http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=1500140

I'm not going to bid on it, I've just never seen one before.

Looks more like some type of Frankenstein Galil to me. Its obviously not a Bushmaster AR, just look at the lower.

Michael

Edit: Guess I should look at the URL first. That thing is still pretty wierd. Ive never seen one.

Looks an awful lot like an original AR180 except that the handguard on the 180 came all the way out and covered the gas tube completely.

You'll note that they don't make them anymore.  This was when Bushmaster first started making things.  They were not known for their reliability.  Even the gunrags that always give glowing reports for a fee, mentioned many stoppages.  They'd pass it off like three or four jams in 100rds was nothing, but they didn't stop making them because they were working great and selling good.

I'm sure there were great working ones as well as the bad ones.  They are a collector item to be sure.
