My kinda guy, and a straight shooter, especially for a Californian. www.tommcclintock.com/news/sp010608.cfm Bump to the top. FMCDH Semper Fidelis Jarhead out. ------------------- "[W]hen the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually.” --George Mason, Virginia's U.S. Constitution ratification convention, 1788

Chilling to hear people sworn the uphold the Constitution say things like that. Our only freedom is in our thoughts indeed. Is that the same thing as saying that we only think we are free?

BTT The truly sad and frightening part is that the politicians he describes in this speech will be completely oblivious to his points. They have no understanding of the Constitution they swore to uphold and defend. They're righteously convinced they're doing it "for the children", and "the children" to them are the voters who put them there. It sounds like Senator Sheila Kuehl needs to be recalled. Violently.
