Not so much a matter of gun/anti-gun politics in the Supreme Court. The CofA really twisted the state constitution to get the law blocked.
If you read the opinion they had to read in a qualification to the prohibition on voters voting on spenping money. If the supremes go with that spin, everything can be blocked, even pay raises. Any chance of that standing up?

This is not a liberal/good-guy issue. Two of the CofA judges are good, right leaning guys. They twisted the constitution not because they love the dems, but because the church has found that God does not want people to have guns, and the judges followed what they were told God wanted them to do.
The decision will not be made on political leanings, but on whether the supreme's interest in keeping state funds flowing in the future is stronger than the pull of their faith (as their priests relate to them what result God wants).
