Anyone here in Houston coping with flooding problems?  I lve near downtown.  We're dry but some of the areas around us are not fairing so well.

Have taken my truck out to help some people.  Its really a mess.

Depends on what part of 45 she is on.  There are several parts off of I-45 that is or was underwater last time I saw.

Thanks!! Saw some of the flood pics on IH 10, news said it was also bad on some parts of 45. She said heavy rains haven't bothered them in the past but still trying to check on how they're doing. We used to run from all those south Texas hurricanes when we lived there.

Sure did take the National Guard a LONG time to arrive on the scene.  I'm not sure they were much use.

I came within an inch of having water in my house.  I spent the day Sunday helping a friend clean up the damage from having 18" of water in his house.

Stay dry!

I heard parts received near 30" of rain!   Here in Northern VA,  I think we have only received around 18" since January.

George Foreman Helps Flood Victims

HOUSTON-- George Foreman offered some heavyweight help to flood
victims in the Houston area.
Foreman, who lives in the Kingwood area of Houston, made a $250,000
donation to the American Red Cross on Monday.
"This is from my family to the people who are suffering in the area,"
Foreman said. "To know that a lot of people in the area can use a helping
hand, I hope this can help. It's not a whole lot, but it sure means a lot
to me."
The former heavyweight boxing champion took his Hummer into the
flooded streets of Houston on Saturday and offered help to victims.
Flooding caused by remnants of Tropical Storm Allison had forced some
20,000 Houston-area residents to flee as nearly 3 feet of rain swamped
parts of the city in less than a week. The storm has been blamed for at
least 20 deaths in Texas and Louisiana.
