No pole, no visable neighbors (woods)  but I think I'll get something rigged this summer anyway.

Then I can fly

I was going to say WTF is wrong with you people who break out the flag a couple of times a year, but I am pleasantly surprised to find myself in the company a fellow Americans who proudly fly the flag EVERY day.

Our country may not be perfect, but it sure as shit is better than the alternatives. Thank you to those who have sacrificed for our nation. It's a shame that so many are seemingly unable to comprehend let alone truly appreciate what we have.

No friggen way.  Why should a fly a flag that represents a govt that takes over 50% of what I earn, takes away my choice of guns and other products, and has a hand in every part of my life.

I'll fly the flag when it represents freedom and independence.

Anybody got a match?

It is stell the flag we vets fought to keep. I hope it will some day soon be the flag that makes you proud.

I hope those people didn't die for a friggen flag.  I hope they died to protect their family and friends.  It is not the same thing.

Think of the soldiers who died in Somalia.  WTF did they die for?  Or the many other stupid things we get involved in.  Our flag does not mean anything anymore.  When the constitution died, the flag died with it.  When the constitution is honored I will start honoring the flag.

Until then I honor my family and friends.  Falcon, I appreciate and have a great deal of respect for all those who serve, in the spirit that they are protecting the people of the country, not the government itself.  You put your life on the line for the people of the country, which is the highest calling, but I hope it wasn't for a friggen flag.

But that is my perspective that the flag stands for the bastardized republic.  To some it may mean the people, but I'm just following what the pledge says.

BTW, I consider my fellow countrymen who find freedom important my friends, such as I do all of you.

I fly the flag everyday, not so much to proclaim what the country is today, but in the hope of what it CAN be again, if enough people finally WAKE UP!! The US is still the best of the lot, even though it seems that many are trying their darndest to make it the DisUnited States of Amerika...
