Janis Joplin--no Grace Slick-- no Michelle Philips-- YES. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful babes from that era. Who am I forgetting?

Your forgetting what a good looking gal looks like.

Carly Simon is a dish. When did she come on the scene?
Link Posted: 6/2/2001 1:06:11 PM EDT
Carley Simons' got a mouth big enough to drive a truck into. And, no, i'm not forgetting what a good looking woman is. Shes gorgeous in my book.

Shit. This is making me feel real old. Susan Day? Deborah Harry? Valerie Bertinelli? Nena? C'mon guys, you gotta be kidding me. Is this about chicks who were born or grew up in the 60's and liked rock, or is it about chicks who achieved their fame in rock & roll in the 60's. Debborah Harry may be close, but she wasn't even playing CB's until the 70's. Ok, who hid my f*cking Geritol?

Joni Mitchel had nice hair.

Twiggy, Cher, Raquel Welch, Ann Margret....... Uh, is this by 60's standards??? Susan Dey, Valerie Bertinelli and Debbie Harry were 70's. Michelle Phillips and Carly Simon definitely. Gee???? Wasn't there a Rock N' Roll babe that turned traitor in the 60s? Married a Media Mogul and was a fitness guru for awhile in the 80's.......

Shaggy got it right. Nico. Some kind of smoldering sultry. Saw her with the Velvet Underground in Dallas at The End of Cole Avenue September 1969. Awesome. The bootleg from that night has to be the best live rock album from the 60's. Arock's OLD!
Link Posted: 6/2/2001 8:30:24 PM EDT
OOOopppss! Oh well, just goes to prove that I am not as old as I think I am!! [8P][8P] [whacko]heh! heh! heh![whacko]

Rock chicks didn't start looking good until the 80's

When did Stevie Nicks come along....? Pretty face, but her voice isn't what it was, and the last time I saw her, the caboose was hidden in a tent. I dunno, it's a toss-up between Momma Cass and Janis Joplin. No, wait, Crystal Gayle would get my vote. Allright, you nitpickers, then how about Emmylou Harris? Never though Cher Bono was that talented or attractive, especially after I saw them live. Dusty Springfield had the sexiest voice, if you ask me. Michelle Philips? Look couldn't overcome her lack of personality, IMHO. I never knew Hanoi Jane was a Rock & Roll babe, except for that commie wannabe scene where she pretended to rock 'n roll wiht the AA gun. Linda Ronstadt - a real fox, even a few pounds later, and still has a damn fine voice. April Stevens - mmmmmmmmm http://www.ninoandapril.com/

I'll agree with you to an extent, but there were far more rock chicks to look at in the 80's than in the 70's. I think the rock chicks of the 70's looked good. Think about the chicks who got their start in the 70's; Debbie Harry, Pat benatar, Heart (Ann & Nancy Wilson), Siouxsie Sioux, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie...

Yea, but looks didn't factor into record/tape/cd sales until the age of the music video... Get real, what kid would buy a Britney Spears CD if they never saw what she looked like. At least I don't have to see the old farts I still listen to. :-).

I thought Rock Girls from the 60's were too made up and their hair too styled. The only one who was gorgeous out of the box was Michelle Phillips. BTW, Nancy Sinatra looked tougher than her dad.
Link Posted: 6/4/2001 7:28:39 AM EDT
I second Nancy Sinatra! Can you imagine the pressure and anxiety her boyfriends picking her up to go out knowing the Frank was there waiting! I bet that Nancy was home ON TIME her entire dating life!! HAHAHA

Nancy Senatra works for me... even at 50 she was HOT!

Link Posted: 6/4/2001 11:43:13 AM EDT
