Let's do the math here, shall we? 87% of 2.3 million is 2,001,000 at a cost of (so far)$780,000,000 (Canadian) or $389 per registrant. The US has some 70,000,000 gun owners (low estimate, most likely). Figure 40% compliance or 28,000,000 who will line up at the gun registration office, with a similar actual cost of, say $250 each (US$) and you're looking at $7,000,000,000 (Seven BILLION) dollars. Of course it won't cost the registrants $250 each (or the 40% estimate would be MUCH too high), so the money will have to come out of the budget somewhere else. It's too late for registration to be of any use, even if it weren't unconstitutional. Oh yeah. Gun registration is a WONDERFUL idea. [sniper] P.S.: I'd be part of the 60% who WOULDN'T.
