What would you do if the government told you that you could not read from the Bible/Qu'ran/Torah?

I'll bet you're thinking "Man, I wouldn't obey that!"

Now, what would you do if the government told you that you could not use your weapon of choice to defend your life? That you couldn't put a pre-ban upper on a post-ban lower?

I'll bet most of you do just what they ask of you.

Yeah, life as a free man comes with its price.

The Connecticut Senate Public Safety Committee has my written testimony, and it in, I state that I will not obey any new semi-automatic rifle ban.

So I guess the answer is YES, I do live as a free man, at least for now. [:)]

I live in Hawaii.  I am a slave dragging my chains to work for the Massa' to pay him the tribute I owe.  I pay him to take away my money and my rights.  Ahhh! life is wonderful here in the corrupt, good old boy, Socialist State of Hawaii.  Maybe, I just ought to move back to Alaska!  Now, there I was free!

Warm, sunny, spring day, every day and chains
vs.
Cold, dark, snowy icy winter as a free man.

I came, I got warm, I got comfortable....and every day in some way I regret the loss of freedom.  I really mean this in a spiritual way.  Alaska is a place where one can be truly free.....standing in the wilderness with no road for 50 miles and bears and mountains and wild rivers and no bureaucrats....

Let me get my soapbox out.

When I am no longer forced aginst my will to hand over a substantial amount of my earnings, or forced to pay an annual sum for the property I legaly own without lien.  When the threat of having EVERYTHING I legaly own taken away from me and my family by confiscation, violence, or incarceration, or any combination thereof, no longer exists.  When the United States of America returns to the Constitutional Republic the Founding Fathers fought and died to create.....

Then I will be a free man!

Our country fought for it´s independence the last time in 1939-1944. Our government has seen fit that a country full of free citizens shall be ready stand by it when need be.

I've always been surprised at the folks that use the notion that because it's the year 2001 people have learned. By the way, the Pope during the Crusades used to say that too before telling Christians to go kill non-believers.

In any case serfs/subjects of the crown (England) used to work the "noblemans" land and give upwards of 50% or more of the crop to the land owner. Now England is socialized and people give upwards of 50% of their money in taxes. We are not far behind. Boy don't things change...

DPeacher is right, what's the big deal about putting a pre-ban upper on a post-ban lower when most of our property rights are gone?  I just went and visted Jefferson's Monticello.  The guide made a comment about how the house was built before there were any safety laws or property taxes.  You should have seen the looks I got when I said "doesn't sound so bad, that's how it should be today!"

People just don't friggin' get it.  All we have to do is *all* stop paying and letting them do this crap to us.  Easier said than done though.
