I always seem to do this. Yesterday I brought my

Colt CAR 15 ( didn't even shoot )
Armalite AR10 (pissed me off)
H&K 94 ( 30 rds )
10/22 ( didn't shoot )
Desert Eagle 50 ( guy next to me left )
SW 44 mag ( one of my favorite handguns )
Sig 226 9mm (didn't shoot)
Walther ppk ( didn't shoot }
I only had 2 hrs to shoot. I knew I wouldn't have time. Does anyone else have this problem?

yes, sometimes I bring guns to the range I don't even have ammo for, I figure if theres someone down there or any of the guys I shoot with might have some ammo and want to use them. makes packing the car a pain in the ass.

I average 4 rifles and 2 pistols every range trip. Rarely do I shoot them all, but someone usually does [:)].

Mininum 3 handguns and 3 rifles and I hate it. Too much cleaning afterwards [:D]

About once a week my neighbors see me load my Cherokee with a shitload of evil looking rifles, and a couple of military ammo cans, drive off, and return 3 or 4 hours later with a big grin on my face.....I wonder what they think.............[heavy]

Every damn time and depending on which range I am attending the items will vary. A lot of time I don't shot everything I bring, but would rather bring extra than to get to the range and say, "Damn I wish I brought that!!"

During the 2 hours of cleaning I swear I will only take no more than 3 items, but sure enough, next trip to the range, the car is packed.

You should have seen me on my birthday this past year. Each year I take the day off from work and go to the range. This year I started packing the car at 8:30 the night before and finished around midnight. Got to the range at 7:30 the next morning, shot until 3:30.

It took me two days to clean everything, but it was worth it. [:D]

Hell no, i hate cleaning them too much to bring more than 3 or 4, and two of them are rimfires that i almost never clean.

Some of us on this board have an Alabama shooting club, and when we meet, we normally bring FAR too many weapons. But, our motto is "Bring what you have so we can shoot what we don't"!!

At the rifle range, usually I bring 2 or 3, but only shoot one.

Usually, I'm bench resting or praticing highpower, and only get 40-60 rounds off in 2-3 hours.

I take way too many, but my problem is I shoot every one of them and then spend the next 3 evening cleaning them.

If I take modern guns then I take 2 at the most. If I take a muzzle loader it is only one.

I really feel for you guys having to clean your guns. But if you want a real job come and clean one of my BP guns after 70 to 100 rounds. Now that is work.

I know just what you mean. When I go to the range I am usually trying to accomplish something like sighting in or working on a good group, and to do it right it usually takes much more time than I anticipate. I always hope to shoot 3 guns at least, but I'm lucky if I have a chance to work on two, and I still get complaints about how much time I was away!

Today me and my boss packed a trunk full of weapons to the range, but only because someof them had to be checked for accuracy(the A2s).

Four M16A2s
One BM M4A3 Carbine
One H&R M14
One Aussie L1A1

Yep, I only bring what I know I will shoot. The ranges around here are a little impersonal. Not much swapping of weapons.

Come to the Saint Johns Sport Shooting Society here in St. Auggie the Doggie Florida if you are ever in the hood.
I have never been there even once without someone allowing me to shoot what they have.
And vice-versa. They can shoot whatever I have.

It is truly the coolest range on the planet.

I usually bring no more than 2 to the range. Two is the maximum I want to give a good cleaning after shooting.

I always bring to many rifles to the range, and I never shoot all of them, but at least I am glad to see that I am not the only person to do this.

Always bring at least 4 and back breaking amount of ammo. shoot 1 let it cool shoot 1 let it cool...................come home smilin without one bullet left.

I always take at least 2. The gun I planned to shoot and my 22 pistol just to have some fun. I cleared out the range last week with my M16. I put a post ban Armalite 16" upper on it so I could test the muzzle brake on full auto. I guess the damn thing worked pretty good but it was loud as hell. I won't be shooting it in the field because I value what hearing I still have.

I wish that was a problem. I's just tired of loading up mags all damn day. Takes too much time. And a speedloader? Too much time to wait for one if I was to order it.

Too many guns???? What qualifies?? Always take 3 handguns and 3 rifles minimum. Of course I have to shoot each and every one of them too. Of course my AR takes the most rounds followed closely by my M1....come home smiling every time...last for at least 2 days then I have to head back again. At least now I know I'm not the only one that spends hours cleaning.

I normally only bring 2 or 3 out, but I have been known to bring them all. I've never brought out anything I didn't have ammo for, maybe people around here are tighter with their ammo, but I've let others shoot my stuff, but rarely is it the other way around. Of course, when theis stuff doesn't work, they come running to me for help. Go figure. Anyway, here's the rundown if I have an entire day to "waste"

DPMS A-15
M1903 Springfield
SMLE #1 mk III (early mod, with windage& cutoff)
Gewehr 98 Mauser(Obrendorf)
M-95 steyer
M-91 Moisin Negant
Pattern 14 Enfield
1903 Turkish Mauser
.32 Custom Flint rifle
.75 1st Model Brown Bess musket

The musket is great, because it usually causes everyone at the range to quit firing, I usually only use about 110 grains, but it is LOUD&SMOKEY
Aside from the AR and the black powder stuff, can you guess what my favorite era is?

One more thing, Call me crazy, but I find disassembling and cleaning guns to be relaxing and fun. Maybe it's from my army days, or from years of shooting black powder, but I can have most guns IG clean in under 1/2 hour.
