Anybody know a gunsmith in the Pittsburgh area (SW PA) who will permanantly mount a muzzle brake on an upper? I've called everybody in the Pittsburgh yellow pages listed as a gunsmith and NOBODY will do it. In most cases, not only will they not do it, they want to give me (incorrect)lectures about the law. I'd like to give the business to somebody local, but it looks an awful lot like I am just going to end up shipping the upper to Bushmaster and have them do it.

Have you tried Al's Custom in Freedom? Their phone number is (724) 869-0943; E-mail alcust@tsil.net. I haven't dealt with them personally but I have talked to people who have and they're supposed to do good work. Hope this helps.

Just called Al's Custom. He said he wouldn't do it because it would "destroy the accuracy." Apparently, PA gunsmiths have a deep seated need to starve.
