Good round.  Makes more sense than the 7mm RUM.

Brass can be made cheap, it loads into very common 308 mags (I plan on barreling an FAL to this), and uses very common reloading components.

The barrel will last more than the 1000 rounds I might expect with the 7mm RUM, and you can afford to practice with it.
