I figured Kate did so well with her saddling the other day that I would give her half-sister, Lily, a chance to shine... and, boy, did she!

Lily will turn two on May 19th. She is not as well built as Kate (note she's coonfooted in the first pic) but this mug is definately the picture of feminity. [:D]

The extension ladder, in particular, is to get into the second story of the barn because I haven't finish added a staircase and landing.

At least it's four wheel drive--sort of. Beautiful everything, MM. My wife and I envy you, from what we have seen. We are working on a similar set-up but will be too old to enjoy by the time we get there. [:)]

I actually have the largest model garden tractor Sear's makes and it takes me 2 1/2 hours to mow the yard excluding the pastures. It's even got a cupholder for my beer. [:D]

The saddle is actually a Crosby Prix de Nations. In all, I have four saddles. I would love to get a Crosby Excel 'H' but they run around $1750. ::sigh::

Keep working towards it! It is definately worth it. I consider myself blessed to be in this situation but it is a lot of work... and things don't always get done the way I'd like them to. Because I'm doing it alone and I work full time, in addition to taking care of the animals, the barn has become a 4 year and counting project... ::wry grin::

A guy I know works with an earth moving company (they dig holes). Yesterday he had a job to dig a huge pit to put 2 live Clidesdales (sp?) in it so they could be led in and put to sleep. Today he has to go back and cover the hole up. What a way to go.
