At My first visit to Knob Creek I seen alot of Upper Receiver/Barrel Assemblies for sale. Are all of them equal in quality? Do I need to stay away for some? Please help this rookie.

That depends on who is selling them. There are several reputable companies out there. One of the things that you may use as a yard stick is how big is the dealer's presence at the show? Is it a small dealer with just a handful of parts or a good selection? In other words, do they look like they know what they're doing? You can ask around the show about their reputation. A few of the companies that offer parts and kits are: Castle Arms, Inc http://www.castle-arms.com/ Bushmaster http://www.bushmaster.com/ Olympic Arms http://www.olyarms.com/usa.html Rock River Arms http://www.rockriverarms.com/ Model 1 Sales http://www.model1sales.com/ M & A Parts http://www.m-aparts.com/ J&T Distributing http://www.jtdistributing.com/ Fulton Armory http://www.fulton-armory.com/ Hope this helps... Thanks Sniper, the tables I seen that caught my attention was Model 1 Sales. There prices at Knob Creek were great.

I can speak to Model 1 Sales directly - I own a CAR-15 built with one of their kits. The resulting rilfe is outstanding. I have never had a jam or failure to feed and this is almost unheard of. I can recommend their kits wholeheartedly. The piece is extremely accurate as well. I thought maybe that was who you were refering to - they hit most of the shows in this area and their table is pretty impressive - yes? [sniper] [b]The Sniper
