I'm reading the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, and I am astonished by the parallels between modern America and Europe and Germany in the 1920's and 1930's.  Communism on the rise, economic dislocation, faltering leadership, widespread interest in the occult, "thought police," general degradation of society, etc etc etc.   Does anyone see the parallels?  Am I nuts?  (Probably true, but hopefully beside the point.) The only two political leaders to use the phrase "New World Order" were Gearge Bush - and Adolf Hitler!!

I agree! I am familiar with most of that but I didn't know about the occult interest in Europe....hmmmm?? There seems to be so much of this these days, everything from Heavens Gate to T.V. Psychics, etc.....

Anyone or anything that references the NWO is to be watched very closely.

The NWO must come to pass and sadly enough it looks as if it will be in some of our lifetimes.  Especially if you're below 40.

What are you talking about, Communism on the rise?  There has never been so little communism in the world since 1917 as now.  Communism as a political and economic system has been totally debunked and there really are no governments left that even pretend to endorse it anymore.  Even Albania, North Korea and mainland China are steadily moving away from their original philosophies.  Communism is deader than that Dodo bird!

DK, you are not paying attention.  In the last few years, the majority of factory jobs went to Mexico and china.  Our manufacturing base is evaporaating before our eyes, prices are on the upswing, M2 (the money supply) has increased 11% in the last six months, and the gov't claims no inflation.  I now see more women with tattoos then I saw men with them even 10 years ago.  The birth rate of illegitmante children is approaching 50%, increasing numbers of the population is on ritalin, Prozac, or some other psycho active drug, and you see no problem.  The premier of Germany is a Communist.  Maybe I use the word incorrectly, Communism to me means a command and control society, with few or no rights, only privelages awarded to the chosen few.  Between the American Heritage Rivers Act and the Endagered Species Act, even private property  is endangered.
I do not think that there is one large overarching conspiracy, but ther is a NWO agenda, supported by a number of groups which are in competition for control.  No Fourth Reich?  Methinks you are sound asleep..........

PASPECOPS,

Yes, 'Nationalist Socialist Party' was the Nazi label, but much more Nationalist than even coming close to what we now think of as socialist.

Here's what will happen with modern Germany....

1)The current aging pope will be Succeeded by a more lively active pope. He will push even more than the last pope, for religious unity and peace in the middle east.

2)Germany will rise again as a dominate european government. (look at whats happening today in the "EU")

3)The middle east will be invaded by an EU peace keeping force.  This will most likely be because of oil interests.

national religion + socialist government = BIG trouble!

If Germany is up to anything, it is in the Economic sense of the EU (Although even economic control is rotated thru-out all participating EU members)

Present day Germany is one of the most PC countries(if not, THE)in the world. (Don't think the US either... We are Frivolous, not PC)

They are still sitting in the corner and thinking about what they did. The sky is not falling yet.

When they come out, they will have thought it through. (This won't be in our lifetime) Then, future generations may scurry about with their hands in the air. Americans ARE lazy, when is the last time you picked up an over-engineered US product? (Yeah flame on,although, don't take it as a dig on workers. I know there are .. some, but not enough to compete with the products coming from a country the size of N and S Dakota)

my .02

B

P.s. the bible also says there is a man that lives in the sky... and he needs money.

Oh wait, George Carlin said that... Dis-regard.

Edited as follows:

BTW, if you think the EU is poising to take over the world... Keep in mind that every image depicted on the back of the Euro paper currency is of no geographic importance. I.e: no actual landmarks depicted.

Countries that had their image on a 5€ note felt inferior to those who had their image on a 20€ note. Sounds like a young USA to me.

Looks to me like they are still in the cat-herding stages.

P.s.s Nitehawk, as I recall.. (It's been awhile since I read that thing)The bible states that the world will be dominated by a yellow race. Book of Revelations, I belive. (I may be wrong, let me check on that)

DK-Prof, It is time to call you out on the carpet about the arguments you used against paspecops.

You alluded to being a professor and thats nice, I took classes from people like you when I was at a Big Ten University.  Then I went out and became the CEO of a corporation.  That's when I found out how the real world works.

As far as Elvis goes, I understand your argument.  However,I believe you have to look farther than one generation to see the degradation of society.  I also think this travels a pattern not unlike our economy, except the swings are a little more extreme.  To understand what I mean, examine the recent history of Iran.  Maybe you could look back to the fall of Rome.

There is no premier of Germany? As a professor you should understand the difference between an adjective and a nown.  Germany does have a premier and he is a chancellor.  Our President is our premier.

Communism is a belief.  You can be a communist and live in a capitalist society, or a socialist society.  Communist is an advocate of communism.  Communism is a utopia.  Before you start telling other people to look it up, you should try it.  Also, the closest thing to real communism are cults.

The last argument you made I can't make a logical retort for because you threw out a red herring.

DK-Prof, I'm glad you were able to read my post and I hope read this one also.

Actually, I went to the University of Minnesota for a BS in Chemical E.  I took economics classes for electives and because I enjoyed them.  I have no doubt you are qualified to make your statements.  I just don't think you are the end all and know all.  Nor do I think that I am.

As far as the "premier" statement, I think we both know what he ment.  I couldn't help myself!  The [}:D] made me do it.  And so I was his advocate.  As were you when you paid me back with the "cult" statement.  I admit I should have specified.  Certainly not all cults fit the description of communism.  Most cults don't factually.

I guessed by your post you would enjoy this.  As for me, I always have to try and hook the biggest fish in the sea, even if via trolling!  When I read through the thread, you were it.  Have a good day!

DK, I intended no disrespect.  I claim no special knowledge: I am a disabled commercial/industrial master Hvac mechanic with a little mechanical engineering an business mgmt courses under his belt, and a LOT of time on my hands, which I use to observe and think.  Much of the work that I did in the mid-90's involved machine-tool manufacturers that were making up new machinery for installation in new factories in Mexico.  By my last year of full-time employment, 90% of our A/C equipment repair parts were marked "Made in Mexico."  Parts made by and for the Big Four manufacturers - Carrier, Trane, Lennox, and York - made in MEXICO!  as in not the US!  This is also true of the automotive and hardware industries as well.  I have seen a LOT of manufacturing jobs DISAPPEAR!!  I know that the 'leader' of Germany is called 'chancellor' I couldn't think of the word at the time - pain medication gives me CRS.  I know what I see happening out here inthe real world - a different perspective than an academic in a relatively isolated environment.  I would certainly like to restart this discussion with you on a more dignified level - I think we both have something to learn here.  Now for the Christians here, go find the book, The Hidden Danger of the Rainbow, by Constance Cumbey.  It was written in the early 80's, concerning the so-called New Age Movement, and sub-titled The New Age Movement and the Coming Age of Barbarism.  This book had a profound impact on my thinking, as it makes the statement that the religion of the Third Reich was essentially the same neo-Paganism embraced by the New Agers.  I recently re-read this book and am stunned by how much of the New Age agenda has come to pass in 20 years.  I am even more concerned about political developments in Europe and European unification.  I've heard it said that the ultimate end of a Godless society is tyranny, and it seems that history generally bears this out.  Dk, I did not intend to imply a lack of qualifications on your part, but I do say that there are things going on out on the street of which you are not aware.
I think that this Fourth Reich will be controlled from Europe, and it will be a socialist, authorittarian, Godless government that intends to dominate the world's economy and politics.  It may even be the 'beast' government as foretold in the Book of Revelation.  I'm not one of the tinfoil hat brigade, but the phrase 'New World Order' gives me the willies..............  Thanks, everyone, for your participation.  SpecOps

1) Teen pregnancies have been falling for years.
2) The economy is stumbling, but that is the business cycle.
3) Revelation; every generation has the hubris to believe it will be the last generation. Talk about pride.
4) Germany if finally ripping off their scarlet letter of Hitler and I am glad to see it. No one who ruled Germany in the 40's rules today.

Fer chrissakes, ya'll, leave PaoloAR15 alone about his English.  I'd say he's speaking a whole lot better English than I can speak  Italian.

Note to PaoloAR15 - I think a lot of people believe that the Anti-Christ spoken of by St. John in his Revelation will head a 10 member group of nations, made up of former nations from within the ancient Roman Empire.

The 'European Union' has a lot of these people
thinking that it might be the forerunner of such an unholy confederation.  Personally, I am not convinced they are wrong in their belief, and there is much to be said that what Caesar, Charlemagne, Napoleon, and Hitler failed to do, which was to unite Europe under a common central government, is being done today in Brussels.  For better, or worse.

Adam Smith? Marx? Well, theories are nice, but as Chairman Mao said, more or less, "Power grows out of the barrel of a gun" True then, true now, true back when the first gun was made, and before that, when the first rock was picked up. Ideology conforms to this immutable fact. War is economic theory taken to a practical level..."give it up mofo"....your oil or whatever,...The more relevant question is "who has the guns?" Those that do have a say, those that don't, don't. If you don't have a gun, on your knees slave, bow to the Master.

I feel that world needs a 2nd point of balance, since the USSR has vanished. If there will be only USA, the next world government will take place in the White House. The main difference between the unic european government wanted by Roman Empire, or Hitler is the fact that we are deciding with consensus to join the EU. I make you an example of how Italy take benefits: before the Maastricht Treaty, Italy was in big troubles: high inflaction, big debits, low national whealth (is called PIL and I don't know the word in English). Pushed by the danger to be excluded from the EU, our goverment (nevermind if left wing or right wing) had to afford this challenge. Now we have the LOWEST inflaction and debit from the Italy's foundation. About firearms, if Italy will comply the EU indications, we will not have any problem in buying muzzle loaded firearms and pellets: you will buy them showing only your ID.

I don't want to say that what is shining is all gold. I wonder HOW the single members of the EU can have visibility to the central govt. but, reading many posts here, I understand that state members fo USA have similar problems.

Well, that's a blanket statement, if I ever saw one. Here's another one: all gunowners are racist and murderers. That one's not true either, but a lot of people still think that. Germans are not the most motivated people on earth, no one nation is. FREX, Germans take more vacation days than us, spend a lot more on consumer goods and acquire higher personal debt than they ever used to, and as a kid who grew up in Germany and went to German schools, lemme tell ya, not all Germans are geniuses, and not all speak perfect English either.

>>At my old high school there is a German Exchange Student. She is one of the smartest people I know.

She probably is quite smart, because she went to school for thirteen years and had to pass a really tough set of tough exams called the Abitur before she was allowed to graduate, or, more importantly, was eligible to go to university. By the time she got out of her high school, she had the equivalent of two years of college under her belt, when compared to our system.

And since she is on exchange, she is better than most, as the requirements for exchange admission and scholarships are quite stringent.

>I have talked with her at a couple of parties, and you know what else I have learned about Germany from her?  They can hold their alcohol.

Aha- tried to liquor her up, eh? And it didn't get too far? :^) Well, she's probably also a lot more mature than the typical US high school student, from whom not much adult (REAL adult, i.e., mature) behavior is expected. And she's older- most German exchange students in US high schools are 19-21 years of age. And, she's probably got a lot riding on being a good girl while over here- she probably has ambitions for a career, one that could take her into the public eye at some point? I can think of some German women who were exchange students in the US and went on to have great careers, Caroline Reiber, of German TV, Angela Merkel, politician, et al..

Germany is far from perfect, and I question a lot of its social policies, but I found that German students in college track high schols and then at universities, are usually far more self-directed than their US counterparts, many of whom have no idea why they are even going to college, or what they really want to study.

>>That is why I do not fear a war with China.  Germany would be on our side.  What a team!

Good luck getting Germany to go to war. Just getting involved in the Persian Gulf and then in Bosnia created a constitutional crisis and a lot of soul searching in Germany- acc. to the German constitution, Germany's armed forces couldn't go beyond its borders or outside of NATO territory- it took some real legal and political gymnastics to get that one past the German electorate, who are, when compared with Americans, socialist and pacifist.

They'll be neutral. I wouldn't bet the farm on it, but I'd certainly bet the barn.

Actually I was a designated driver at the party in question.

Did you read the part about her being in High School?  Not college.  She is 18.  She has a stipulation that she can't party over here, but she did anyway.  I had nothing to do with that.  I did however think it was remarkable that 45 minutes after drinking 9 shots of Jose Quervo, she was not only conscious but talking coherently.  Even she remarked on the German ability to drink.

For the record I don't liquor people up.  I don't drink much myself.
