I got stopped by a Plano PD traffic officer yesterday for doing 40mph in a 30mph zone. When I handed over my CHL with my DL, he asked if I was actually carrying. When I answered in the affirmative, he handed me back my card and asked where the weapon was. He did not ask for the weapon.

He wrote me the citation and explained that the local residents had complained about folks speeding and the PD had stepped up enforcement. He had me dead to rights, but was courteous, pleasant and professional about it.

So far my experience with law enforcement in Texas has been very positive. Can any other Texan comment on their experiences?
