I'm flying my Learjet to Nova Scotia to see it.
I'll be wearing my apricot colored scarf. |
I saw electronic signs on the highway that no one is allowed to stop their cars on the shoulder, merge lanes or exit lanes to watch the eclipse.
I wonder how many non-snackbar car accidents are going to happen tomorrow. There's going to be some moron who all of a sudden sees the beginning edge of the eclipse and takes his eyes off the road to look up to get a better view, and then gets into an accident. |
I don't care but I'm in Omaha and people are apeshit about it.
Meh... TC |
I'm working the night shift now and tonight. It's supposed to be like 70% occluded I think. Might get up, might not. Doesn't seem like it'll be that worth it here.

I care but not near a totality area. So I'm gonna watch online
I'm going to enjoy it with my grand kids tomorrow as a once in a life time thing, as I do with pretty
much all my other time with them. |
I'll be at the range...so I guess u could say I could care less!
Mom asked me today if I had bought us glasses. This is the first time shes mentioned wanting to see it. I told her nope. It's on TV for free.

Yeah, unless there's some awesome cataclysm I'm not interested.

If I didn't live close, I wouldn't care. Since I can just walk outside and see it, I will be watching.

I am taking a half day from work, and am taking my son out of school to watch it. An eclipse is pretty much the most impressive natural marvel you can see with unaided eye; stop being a curmudgeon and make plans to see it. (Through a pinhole box or something. Don't go blind!) View Quote Yet here is a thread full of people pretending they are better and smarter than everyone because "they don't care" It's like they don't care so much it actually turned into caring. Like a double negative. |

?
Thought it already happened. Will prpbably be busy under a car or the motorhome. |
Working midnight's tonight so I'll likely be sleeping when it occurs.
I watched the last one, maybe next time. |

It will be memorable to me only in that I pick up my BM-59 at my LGS!
I worry about my kids watching it. They would be tempted to look at it without their glasses. And their mother is a dumbass
Saw a total eclipse when I was a kid. I was like,"What's the big deal?" It's like a shadow moves across the sun. woo hoo!
If I wasn't going to be at work, I would go out and watch and listen to the birds freak out when night comes early and is really, really short.
I don't need to look at it directly. There will be some killer pics. |

I can't waste time watching the eclipse.
I need to be observant and ready to bust the lizard creatures with the GII when they start coming around. |
My dad just blows it off and Im like
Took the day off and ordered glasses for everyone 4 months ago. |
Its a shadow.............. BFD
If we were Incas then maybe I'd care. Maybe. |

You should see my AO (Boise, ID). Local LE agencies and regional hospital estimate 300-500k coming into the state, specifically, to go to a small town called Weiser that is approximately 45 minutes west of Boise (almost to OR). It's supposed to be a location where there will be 99-100% coverage or some such shit. I don't keep up with it. I will go outside to check it out, but I really don't fucking care much, either. The people spending big bucks to travel around is just nuts. View Quote |

A bunch of cool fucking dudes in here! Way too cool to enjoy something stupid like an eclipse!!
FWIW my wife, newborn and I are going to be driving about an hour north of our AO to be in the totality. I can't wait! |
Not watching.
I will be checking my mother out of the hospital and driving her to the nursing home, somewhat against her will. My day will be fraught with excitement well above the levels a basic solar eclipse can generate. |

This reminds me of the northeast in the fall, when people go to NY and VT to watch the leaves change color. View Quote We'd rather sit in front of our computers and expound about how ridiculous it is since we can see it in pictures! Anything to not have to get out in the real world amiright? |
I'm working. I don't know if I can see it in Texas anyway.
Seriously, though. Can it be seen from Texas? I thought only certain areas of the country could see it today. |
I don't care at all... Ill be working I have shit to do and dollars to make.
