Why can't they just deal in facts rather than make shit up in reports.

Police said the man pulled out a large blade hunting knife and lunged at an officer. The officer shot the man twice in the abdomen.

I understand why he got shot, as he moved towards the cop with a knife after a period of noncompliance.

However, why was the cop following him anyways? Cause he had the knife out? I couldnt see in the beginning if he had it out or not.

Run in this context means not stop and try to get away. He moved toward him with a knife. Did he textbook lunge? No Was the cop in immediate deadly danger with an armed nut job coming toward him? yes.

When a guy is walking away with a knife in his hand, ignoring repeated commands, is that not a good time for a Tase?
I agree that it was a good shoot, but did it have to progress to that point?

...maybe they didn't have a Taser. I didn't see one on the other officer.
