Google recipe using buttermilk, mayo and hidden valley ranch packets. This is what we used to do at the restaurant I worked at and it was amazeballs.

That's all we use to use, for some odd reason they quit carrying it at costco here.

No, but I wish I could buy some Pizza Hut Creamy Italian. That stuff is the crack of salad dressing.

My fav is Hidden Valley packets that you use to make your own. Not from scratch, but better than anything I've tried from a bottle.

Back in the day, pizza hut used to dip the ranch out of the salad bar and put it in the little plastic cups. It was great, now they have that pre-packaged shitty ranch.

Restaurant ranch is 70% mayo, 25% buttermilk and 5% ranch dressing packet, and 100% diabetes.

I would lose my shit if they stopped carrying it!

I put it on baked potatoes, dip my pizza in it and whatever else.

Buy the hidden valley ranch packet and follow the directions on the back.  I despise ranch dressing, but my better half loves it so I made some for her since we were out of the bottled stuff. It is amazing. The only ranch I will even consider to consume. Bleu cheese is the only dressing in my vocabulary

HV tastes off to me...like its gone bad or rotten.  But the packets with homemade taste awesome.  It has to be the kind of oil or other ingredients they use.

Is it "grainy"?  That's the best way I can describe really good homemade ranch.  Never made it myself, but your recipe sounds good.

Get the dip version and cut with milk to desired consistency. Perfect for fried or grilled habenaro Thai chilli wings.

For salads make your own blue cheese dressing with gorgenzola and drizzle aged balsamic over the blue cheese.
