Before things turned rabidly anti-gun, did any of the old timers on here bring a firearm to show and tell to school ?

Long time family owned 1903 Springfield. Also a heavy barreled full stocked Pennsylvania styled muzzle loading rifle. Back in the 60s.

1995-ish, school would start at 10:30 on Weds to allow teachers to work on curriculum and faculty initiatives.

We would often go duck hunting before school.  The VP knew that I had gotten a new 870 since I had borrowed one of his single loaders previously.  He asked me to bring it to his office for him to check out.

A few years after graduating, the same school implemented a zero tolerance policy and a kid got sent home for having empty shotshells in the bed of his truck

We had NRA hunter safety in PE.

Bring a Firearm to show and tell. Lol No. my dad would have kicked my ass. While my guns hung over my bed in a gun rack I dared not touch them unless it was time to go hunting.

Kids these days are not taught to respect their parents let alone anyone else, If you don't respect and fear your fathers authority then you don't need a firearm.
