For the price, you're not going to get hate from me. Hell, I may go buy one to get the wife into trap shooting.

Does it break open easy? All the turkish double barrels I've handled were really tight and stiff.
|
|
Thats not bad. I'd cut it down to 14" and use it for home defense with 00 buck.
|
|
I am furious with you about this!
Just kidding, let us know how it handles. I've been considering a o/u. |
|
I have a 300 dollar Turkish O/U that has killed quail, dove and rabbit in two states. My only complaint is that it is on the heavy side.

Good looking gun. I shoot my ol Moser silver Reserve beer than any of my other shottys
|

5 year warranty on metal parts. Buy 50,000 rounds of bulk birdshot and get busy.
|
|
I've always wanted a O/U but Jesus fuck are they expensive as shit.

Those are actually huglu guns and they are FANTASTIC values.
I have several of them under CZ, Huglu and DeHaan brand names. Great guns you'll love it. Turkish makers vary in quality, but highly are top notch |

My cheap ou is a Stevens 555. No ejectors, otherwise a decent gun.

What's to hate? Sporting Clays is a darn good time. Grouse, doves, woodcock and quail are all fun to shoot at too.

For a hunting gun that you'll shoot a hundred times a year, it's fine. Try to shoot 10,000 rounds of clays a year with it and you'll shoot it to pieces.

View Quote But there's a guy keeping track of his Turkish made CZ on another forum that has over 32,000 rounds through it so far. I'm not planning on shooting it that much, but I will shoot more than 100 rounds a year with it. If it breaks, I've learned my lesson. If it holds up, I'll be a happy camper. Either way, its warrantied for a couple years so if I get a lemon I'll send it back. Seemed like a worthwhile investment for the quail and dove hunting I get a chance to do...can finally stop borrowing other peoples guns for the occasional bird hunting I do. |

What's wrong with an O/U?
I've kinda always wanted one. I occasionally shoot skeet with an 870. The center position is almost impossible (for me) if I have to pump. |

My local gander mountain has one of these for $375 NIB. Worth it?

It's the cheap, Turkish part. O/U guys are snobs. View Quote But there are also some real cool ones who just love shooting things in the air. I had some customers that were O/U nuts, but they were not snobs.. they were really cool and even loaned out shotguns just to get people into skeet shooting and made fun of the O/U snobs lol. |

Op said cheap.....thats sub 200$ to me lmao. But then again...this was my last cheap shotgun ...old paragon 12g. Pretty cool Lil shotgun. |
|
I was working away from home and had no shotgun with me when I got invited on a company dove hunt.
Trotted down to the LGS and bought a used O/U Ruger Red Label 12 gauge. Paid like $220.00 for it. I use it now and again for birds and trap/skeet. |
|
I had a Russian made Baikal O/U.
The first thing to fall apart was the safety. It would engage right after the first shot. I took it back to the mom and pop store I bought it from. They fixed it. .It ran for a little while okay. Then one time a bird flushed...I got a good bead on it and was on the trigger...BOOM! it let go with both barrels...and there was a puff of feathers floating back down to the ground. I am thinking it is not a safe gun. Will it fire when I close the barrels? Because that will be the next thing to happen? And I don't want the BOOM! to make my dogs gun shy. A local Gander Mountain has a Beretta 686 for $1,500 That is the gun I'd like to get. |
|
20 gauge is for 12 year old kids their first year hunting. At least the OP didn't try to convince anyone that his new gun is just as good as good as a top of the line shotgun.

I scored a CZ Redhead Deluxe on distributor closeout for around $600, great shotgun. Wish I bought Huglu's back when they were $250.

Not going to hate. I'm kinda looking for a .410 O/U for a bunny gun. I like the Stevens 555, or that CZ series is nice too.
Trying to find a used .410, prices are New, overseas made is cheaper. |
