I generally prefer to name animals after I've gotten to know them for a bit. Feel out their character and what not.

That being said: that's one helluva animal right there. Dignified, almost regal even. Looks to me like he needs a real name. I'd go with Mr. William Peabody Caruthers. Call him willy p for short, or just Caruthers... Mr. Caruthers.

His name should be Tapa, like the little snacks (tapas) that they serve at bars in Spain. He/she is going to eat a ton.

I had a buddy that name his dog Siete....pronounced C...A....T.... but said really fast. His cat was named Dioggi...yep pronounced D....O....G...
