Yep.  My favorite part is the factoid that only one machine gun has been used in a murder since 1934.  I love that little bit of info.  Kinda makes you wonder why the hell they banned further sales in '86 don't it?  I want my G-36!!  [heavy]

Really hate to nit-pik, but it was legally registered, and commited by a law enforcement. Still, I love as do you.    full clip

Very good show and very informative.  I had seen that episode before but after seeing hundreds of rounds go downrange out of the M2 at the last Virginia shoot I have a whole new appreciation for that piece of machinery. John Browning was incredible to say the least.

My favorite factoid was that of all the legal, registered machine guns in the us, half are owned by law enforcement and govt. agencies, and half are owned by civilians. I have to think they are not counting the military as govt agencies.
It made me sick when they said that an MP5 for the Marines cost $894!!  I wish I could have one for that price!!!!

Oops!  I forgot to say "legally owned".  I'm sure machine guns have been used in murders, just all illegal.

when the ar18 was being pushed as a replacement for the then ailing xm16e1, it was costing $25 a copy (in  1967 dollars).. also the materials in a glock are $25 per gun.

the last batch of m16's were about fy 1996?$425ish each.  in the mid 70's they were about the $190 mark.  the m16a2pip when they 1st came out (1982?) were that staggering cost of low $200's - most likely around $230

le depts can buy mp5 post samples now for $1150ish with the french navy stock,  m16s of almost any variety are about $900
