"The boy, who was on the "Emerald Plunge" at a Bay Area water park when he tumbled over the edge, was released from a hospital with minor injuries."

If you look at the green slide you see water moving turbulently at the point where his departure from the slide started.

I cannot tell if there is a joint that was out of place but that in the spot that caused the problem.

Thanks for putting your stupid TV station banner over the part of the video that shows the kid eating it.

I agree that it looks like the joint wasn't properly joined or had a buckle in it causing that turbulence and a little "jump" that launched the kid.  A little road rash and some bruise but he'll be OK.  Could have been much worse.

Im very curious as to why you think a large check is in order.

The kid is fine. Could have doesnt enter into it in liability cases.

Why is everything a scratcher to people?

City owned? At the very least, they'll get some "Shut Up & Go Away" money.

Kid walked it off like a champ.  it's not like he plunged 200 feet to his doom, he just went over a maybe 3 foot edge onto concrete, and was already slowed down.

Newscasters are just good looking idiots "The scare of his life"!! OMGWTFBBQ
