There's a guy with a USMC bike locally that makes that look subtle and understated

The Indian lives on, though. It's where Polaris decided to focus their efforts instead of the Victory line.

My personal jury is still out on that move. Indian's ergos simply don't work for me.

I believe that's called a freedom facial.

I went to Normandy for the 70th anniversary.  The place is crawling with 1940s Harleys that look like they just rode off the set of a movie. Jeeps and wc 57s, even a halftrack, Dukws....it was awesome. I even saw a Schwimmwaggen.

Yeah, I considered Victory (though not that awful Vision, lol). Indian?  Not my cup of tea, except the Scout.

That Vision is hideous. I have a Cross Country. Like so many trends I was lucky to buy one right before they announced they were closing their doors. Kind of bummed because I was kind of looking at Octanes.

You bought too early.  Dealer in Nashville was/is selling new 2017 Cross Country for $11k and change.

Like I said that's my life story. Bought the VTX stopped making them. Bought a Ford Excursion stopped making them. Bought a Sig 556 stopped making them. Plenty more examples

I did alright on my cross country as it was already used. 2012 with 8k miles for 12K I think. While obviously not aas good as what you are talking about the value was decent. Now that I am thinking about selling it the resale really tanked.

That's a smoking deal. The dealer here had all the bikes marked down to cost but nowhere near that price. I was looking at a Hammer but I really don't want to invest any more in a discontinued platform. Been looking at Harleys now for the first time in my life because at least I know the platform has a ton available and good longevity.

Yeah I looked at and nearly bought a new Cross County Tour in 2015.  Really glad I bought a Harley Dyna instead.
