Yesterday about 6:30pm.  Then last night about 9:30 or so she started getting a little achey....then this morning a headache. She is one of those DAMNED frustrating people that never want to take any medicine. Took one ibuprophen.....it took the headache down maybe 70% but itblingered all day along with the achiness which also went away a similar amount.

Now both headache and achiness are lingering 1 hour after 2 ibuprophen.

Possible mosquito issue?

Very concered.

Also....I really never drink after anyone including her. Ha....about a month ago I started not caring. Rinseing out her glass with water and then using it instead of making another dirty. And today I did that with a glass she had used. Then again she had said nothing about how she felt.

I am also now leaving to take my 5 students to Moab next Monday.

How fucked are we? Or just being paranoid????

Edited for phone spelling/typeing issues.

Also adding that 1 month ago we had our daughter and are both bot sleeping well. Maybe 2-4 hours of real sleep a night.

Outside to get bit also could mean outside to get dehydrated.

I'd treat it as "hydrate for several days, with Brondo, cuz it's got electrolytes"

Yes. Five. Damned things love her. Rarely bother me.....if there is one in the STATE it will be on her....

Ha. Guess I have some skeeter in me then uh?

Good grief.......where do you live that 5 mosquito bites is something to remark on?

Mind you, I've had West Nile, and it was nothing fun, but since onset of symptoms (if a person even has any, and many don't,) can take from three days to two weeks, I have no idea which batch of bites was the cause.

But, uh, yeah.....I get five plus bites of an afternoon every day in mosquito season if I don't spend the day entirely inside (and I still get a few then anyway, typically, as the office has a mosquito problem, and the house is over 120 years old and they tend to get in from time to time.)

Just to rub it in, remind her only female mosquitoes bite ;)

Mosquito transmitted diseases in Colorado include variations of encephalitis, west nile, meningitis:

Someone I know told me about how he and his wife got a fever similar to Dengue when in Jamaica. Said it was transmitted my Mosquito. Knocked them on their asses for 2 weeks, said that they both had joint pain for 6 months afterwards. He said it was so painful he could barely walk up a set of stairs.

Good luck OP, hopefully it isn't anything that serious.

headache could be a sign of Zika.

As your head starts to shrink it hurts.

Best way to be sure is to hourly, precise measurements of her head.

Any change moar the 2mm per hour and you need to call 911...

I once got bitten by at least 30 while visiting relatives in Alabama in the summertime as a kid. Then I had an allergic reaction to something a few days later. The bites resulted in some really strange looking hives, with weird ring patterns and shit. I have never worn shorts since.

The trick is to be so hungover or drunk most of time that you don't notice most mild ailments. There is a 200 acre swamp behind me and my neighbor's houses out here in nowhere Florida, he's always got enough rum in him and I figure after 18 years of military shots on regular schedules and for deployments we're both probably just immune to everything when we get ate up out drinking by the fence or by a fire

Seriously though, is there any history of mosquito-borne illnesses or diseases in your area?

There isn't a single mosquito-borne illness that will become symptomatic in 25 hours.  None.  She may be getting sick but it's from some other source.

Several glasses isn't enough. You need several LITERS per day.

Caffeine withdrawal can cause headaches and other symptoms too.  Ramp down.  Don't go cold turkey.

5 whole mosquito bites, wow

Anyhow keep an eye on her, my wife's uncle caught west Nile which in turn caused swelling of the brain then was in a coma for a while. Now he's back at it, good as new.

I'd guess it's not related. That would be awful quick for a reaction I'd think. Now five snake bites might be a different story. She's got a virus of some sort.

I had over 50 bites on my head, neck and arms after dragging two deer through a cypress swamp 3 days after hurricane matthew struck last year. Every time you hit a tree limb or stepped on wet leaves hundreds would come up off the ground. It was almost unbelievable. It was so bad I emptied my pockets and got in waste deep water to float the deer back to the boat to get some relieve from the mosquitos.
