It’s easy to lecture the world about walls when you’re protected by one. That’s exactly what former President Barack Obama did today.
Grabien reports: Sitting alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former President Obama lectured the current administration about its immigration policy Thursday.
While not mentioning President Trump by name, Obama made clear to whom he was leveling his criticism. “In this new world that we live in we can’t isolate ourselves,” Obama said. “We can’t hide behind a wall.” 
Onlookers strained to take pictures of Obama, who was “behind (a) security barricade.” The police were ready for anything that might come their way, and stood guard, protecting the wall protecting Obama:

He's right ... but you can't protect yourself without a wall either.
The wall is only the first layer, the most important layer, of a layered defense in depth. Nobody rationally thinks that the wall is the be all to end all ... or that any sort of border protection can happen without one. The wall need to be backed up with patrols, work place inspections, some checking of SSN activity (so many people are still working long after they're dead!), and a secure ID system. America is so much at each other's throats they're not noticing that tens of millions of illegals are robbing them blind. Build the wall. Build it high and build it deep. Start doing far more work place inspection, hell offer reward bounties of $1000 a head and you'll see Americans report and illegals get deported. Run some stupid simple social security number check. Someone who is dead should not be working. Someone alive shouldn't be working 87 jobs in 17 different states at the same time. We need a better ID system than the one from 80 years ago. A nine digit number is not a method of identification or authorization in any functional idiots mind yet we continue to use it in one of the most advanced nations on the planet. |
