Now if the Hearing Protection passes and suppressors come off NFA... the family is going to just have to get used to Mr. Clause not coming around; that is unless they wanted a can for Christmas

I'm confused. Is all they did was change "illegal knife" to "location restricted knife"?
Does it also make it illegal to give a "location restricted knife" to someone under 18?

They took out that requirement when we got open carry but looks like the Nonapplicability is still written in there.....that is what got him into trouble as the arresting officers didn't know all the nuances and exemptions and were just going by the ">5.5in" rule. And when he challenged them in it they basically said to let the judge sort it out... iirc this is what is being changed with the new law where they are striking the term illegal knife and you don't need the license as a workaround ... |

Penalty: class C misdemeanor The bill will go into effect September 1st, 2017. *This is according to state law and does not repeal TSA or federal restrictions. |

Illegal for a minor to be in possession unless directly supervised by a parent or "legal" guardian.
It is less restrictive to take my niece to the range/hunting than for her to have a knife with a blade over 5.5" The law as amended is convoluted bullshit and expands the nanny state. |
