**Many people wanted me to post an update if anything happened, so here I am**
ETA: To anyone telling me to move, we're working on it. This happened last month. I hate to say it, but it wasn't too eventful this go around. We got shot at and that's that. My mom, little brother and I were all talking in the living room. We heard about 5 shots and started scrambling (I went for the AR down the hall). The whole "lay down when you hear shots" doesn't really work out when you're getting shot at. Kind of like "stop, drop and roll". I got the rifle, chambered it and looked outside. Nothing. The car that shot us sped so fast down the street. We called the cops. They told us that we were making things up and didn't get shot at because "pistol rounds make holes through brick walls". We found once .40S&W shell casing. Most likely, shell cases ejected into his car and the drive was shooting one handed. So far, shell cases we've found on our street: .40S&W .380 5.56 12GA (not a case, but you get it) All in all, not to eventful this go around as the first time. We're used it at this point and the Cops didn't really help us out. |

Did you grow up there or move there recently? Either way, glad to hear that you and yours are safe. I don't want to sound cold or as though I don't understand, but you really have to find a way to move. |

You need a camera setup that will get a license plate.
When you have a license plate number of who did it, get a restraining order asap. |

You should at least gather the evidence like cops with gloves and bag it . Fingerprints can be gotten off of spent cases . You might want to get a steel front door . What is the back story ? People normally do not shoot at random houses over and over again . Might want to mount a camera or 2 on the mailbox to get a tag number
