My wife wants a 2017 4Runner Limited. If it happens, this will be our first Toyota.
My understanding is that I am not likely to get a ton off of MSRP on new Toyotas. The dealer is at an even $43k "out the door" on a $45673 MSRP.
I went through the Costco program and got a quote that ends up being higher than what the dealer offered. Costco price on that same MSRP is $42530 + tax + license + doc fee.
I would appreciate hearing feedback on those with experience with new Toyota purchases.
Thanks.

When I was shopping for mine, I found the LE I wanted, listed at 46k. I called, offered 38.5, and got them to settle at 40k. I showed up, handed them money, they gave me keys, and I drove away. Total paid was about 40.5k, as I had to pay for gas for the drive home and a plane ticket to the neighboring state. Still much cheaper than anything in CA at the time.
I plan to drive this thing for the next ~10-15 years God willing, and hopefully pick up another one in a few years. Love the 4R. Even if you pay a little more, I don't think you'll have any buyer's remorse.
