MSNBC wins cable news weekly ratings war for first time ever

MSNBC finished first in the key 25-54 demographic and in total viewers against its cable news rivals last week for the first time in its 21-year existence, according to Nielsen Research.

Overall, MSNBC finished second in all of basic cable, only falling to TNT, which aired several NBA playoff games.

Fox News finished third in primetime for the first time in nearly 17 years.

I turned it all off. Saw the slide into Fake News. Now I get everything from alt sources on line and can aggregate multiple sources and get a better picture anyway. Should have done it years ago.

I'm 37, and I sure as hell don't. Were it not for this site, I'd have zero idea of what anyone on any news channel said.

It didn't take me long to realize that it's entertainment for a demographic that doesn't fancy a good singin' contest. I feel dumber even watching the clips on YouTube.

Let's see - they cancelled Red Eye, cancelled O'Reilly, took Martha MacCallum off America's Newsroom and put her on the suck ass The Story (even worse than The First 100 Days), moved The Five late at night after its viewers are already asleep, fired Bob Beckel and replaced him with Juan Williams, took Eric Bolling off The Five and replaced him with Jesse Watters, stuck Bolling on that suck ass The Specialists, but they keep Shepard Smith. What could go wrong?

Recently bought a couple of TV's and now that it I occasionally get my own quality time with the remote, I channel surfed onto One America News. Obviously it is a low budget operation but my first impression was "this is what Fox News is supposed to be." It might turn out to be Trump TV and there may pro Russia psa's running, (haven't seen them myself yet), but so far it's promising.

Fox may suck, but if my sample of 1 tells me anything, I tuned the media out completely.

I don't give a fuck what Trump says or does, don't care to participate in the outrage de' jour and I don't give a fuck what the supposed "experts" say.

Trump won, for the most part I can sit back and chill, enjoy my life and ignore the nonsense for a while.
