... Interesting prose, might have a correlation to post count - but what would that denomination be?

I'd pay real $ to be able to change my user name. My account is not for sale.

Staff could make so much money off this. There are tons of old accounts that have nbeen very been used. But this is some kind of auto-complete on my new iPad. |

Based on what's been discovered with other sites, it's under $100 but likely over $10 if it's old with a decent post count.
I know some here think the anti-posters aren't shills, but on many different message boards I've seen sudden shifts in activity, and CTR/shareblue have been well known to bid on old accounts. There's sites like redditsecrets.com that are dedicated to the trade. It's bad enough Forbes ran a test/expose on gaming reddit using bought accounts. It's happening on a whole raft of different social messaging forums -- hell, it's happening on FCC request for comments using stolen identities -- and it's all about one side spending money to generate an illusion about the the general public believes. I guarantee you it's happening here. There is more than enough page views and traffic to justify the spend. |

Worth absolutely nothing.
In order for shilling to be worthwhile people have to be influenced. I've never seen anyone on here change their mind about anything, even when proven conclusively wrong. You will never win hearts and minds here. |

Steyr-Aug attempted to sell his account and got a permaban. Now, Aimless is an account worth having but stay far away from DK-Prof (unless you like fowl play).

I don't know. I assume some suckers have paid the price.
Most Members seem to value their username, their avatar, their post count, and their join-date in that order. In addition to that are the various Membership levels. As someone who enforces the CoC , none of these things are important. |

To add to this, the going rate is $150 for 200 shill posts.

I imagine that quite a few have been bought in the past few months by ShareBlue to post the anti-DJT stuff on the forums, so I gotta know: How much can one make from selling their soul to satan? View Quote You've noticed over the past two years an unusual number of accounts that had a fairly low post count combined with join dates 2+ years old, posting anti-Trump/republican crap, many of which are so similar that it's almost like it's the same few people going from account to account? And this pattern started to emerge once AR15.com made it more difficult to register new troll accounts? Nope, doesn't happen. The arrangement of the internet tubes prevents it. Or so people with a history of posting hinky shit have told me. |

Lol. Look at this guys? A 13er acting like he is OG. Maybe it's an inside joke or something. It's not an inside joke. It's urban street slang. |

How does this work? If you're approached to have your account bought, and you decline, do they kill you?

You will never win hearts and minds here. View Quote belief is to outsiders, policymakers, etc. As an example, if 25% of the posts on a hard-right, pro-trump message board are anti-trump shill posts, that can be turned into a news story by your controlled press saying that the right wing is fracturing, and that there's major dissent even among strong supporters, etc. We saw the exact same thing before the election, with endless stories about how lopsided a Democratic win was going to be, that the Republican campaign was falling apart, and thanks to the CTR shills there were tons of messages on social media supporting that image. It's about faking reality, not about changing minds anywhere they are posting their craptastic messages. When it is an attempt to influence on the site, it's usually not about getting people to change their view, but to get them to be demoralized and give up. A lot of CTR's messaging immediately prior to the election was an attempt to make the election look like it was already won and a lost cause so the right didn't go out and vote. Fortunately a lot of people explicitly saw through that and actually got more motivated when the news stories didn't sync up with the reality in 95% of the country. |

There is a member here who was asked to sell their account. I don't recall who. They mentioned it when the original info about CTR got leaked. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |
